Disney Speedstorm’s Season 22 “Bridge of Marigolds”, inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco, is almost here, and the team has been working on changes and improvements to the game based on community feedback.

SEASON 22 CHANGES 

NEW RACERS

Miguel Rivera (Speedster, Epic), Héctor Rivera (Trickster, Rare), and Ernesto de la Cruz (Brawler, Common) from Disney and Pixarʼs Coco are joining the race!

• Miguel Rivera Tale event: Sep 30 - Oct 6.
• Héctor Rivera Tale event: Oct 15 - 21.
• Ernesto de la Cruz Tale event: Nov 5 - 11.

SEASON RACERS

Season Pass Racers:

• Part 1 - Kuzco & Anna.
• Part 2 - Yzma & Oswald.

Diamond Pass Max Outs:

• Part 1 - Queen of Hearts, Chip, Rapunzel, or Eeyore.
• Part 2 - Dale, Lotso, Baymax, Forky, or Snow White.

NEW ENVIRONMENT

This Season features a brand-new racing environment inspired by the Land of the Dead from Disney and Pixar’s Coco.

AUGMENTS

We're introducing Augments, a new type of item that you can equip to your Racers to gain various bonuses and effects during races.

RACER PROGRESSION UPDATE

We're making early Racer Progression faster!

You will now need fewer Shards and Tune Coins to progress from 0 to 4 Stars, and more Shards and Tune Coins from 4 to 6 Stars. The total resource cost stays the same.

NEW RACE TYPES

We’re introducing three new race types:

• Power-Up Time: every couple of seconds all Racers receive a random Power-Up.
• Brain Hack: the controls of all Racers are inverted from the start of the race.
• Arbee Says: Arbee tells you to do an objective every couple of seconds. Completing the objective on time gives you a speed boost, while failing it stuns you

These will be available for Adventure Road, Season Tour, Tournaments, Tales, Time-Limited Events, Private Lobbies, and Local Freeplay.

RACE TYPES IN MORE GAME MODES

Up until now race types (Floating Objects, Color Match, etc.) were only available in Season Tours and Tournaments.

Now, race types such as Color Match, Follow the Leader, Fog Challenge, Single Skill, and Floating Objects are coming to Adventure Road, Tales, Time-Limited Events, Private Tracks, and Local Freeplay!

Note that Solo & Team Multiplayer, Ranked and Grand Prix will not be supporting race types.

GROWTH FUND

You can now get more rewards when progressing through your Player Journey!

Purchase Growth Fund to unlock more Milestone rewards when reaching new Ranks. For different sets of Ranks, you can get different Growth Funds featuring various bonuses.

NEW SUPER KARTS

We’re adding two new Super Karts: Pumpkinhead Kart for Tricksters, and Autumn Storm Kart for Defenders. Unlock the Super Karts for more speed and new skills!

NEW ADVENTURE ROAD COLLECTIONS

Adventure Road will now feature Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, and Disney’s Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Collections.

RACER BOOST

Racers Captain Hook and Tinker Bell will now be available to select.

NEW ALBUMS & CARDS

We’re adding new Albums and Cards based on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Toy Story, Frozen, and Winnie the Pooh.

NEW SUPERCHARGE RACERS

Gaston from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Will Turner from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, King Triton from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Judy Hopps from Disney's Zootopia, Queen of Hearts from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Maui from Disney’s Moana, and Fozzie from Disney’s The Muppets will be available to select.

SEASON 22 TOURNAMENT AND VAULT PASS

During Season 22, Tournaments and Vault Passes will become available for Disney’s Villains.

Tournaments will be available for the Racers: Shan Yu, Mother Gothel, and Yokai.

GENERAL FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

• Fixed an issue where buffs from Unique Skills didn’t apply correctly when using one after another while the buff from the first use was still active.
• Fixed the visual issue when a Duplicate Card was incorrectly shown to be exchanged into Season Coins instead of Album Coins.
• Fixed small visual issues.

That’s it for all the changes coming to Season 22. These will go live alongside the launch of the season on September 24.
