Hey, Speedstars!
We’ve heard your feedback regarding the fast pace at which some of you were reaching the final tiers of the Season Pass - especially with the new Diamond Pass. Starting with Big Hero 6 – Part 2, we’re adjusting XP distribution throughout the Season to better balance progression and keep things engaging from start to finish.
Let’s take a look at what’s changing.
A Steadier Pace to the Finish Line
Season Pass progression is being adjusted to encourage steady advancement across the Season rather than completion in the first few days.
XP will be spread more evenly across the month. This means that the earlier weeks of the Season will offer slightly less XP than before, while the middle of the Season will offer a bit more.
The result?
Progression will feel more consistent across the entire Season, instead of front-loaded in just the first few days.
This change keeps the total XP the same - no rewards are being removed, and no missions are being added or made harder. It’s simply a shift in when XP becomes available.
How Progression Will Look
Starting with Big Hero 6 – Part 2, part of the XP (14 Missions) that was previously available in Week 1 has been shifted into Weeks 2 and 3.
There is little change to Week 4 progression, so players who catch up late won’t feel rushed at the end of the Season.
This new pacing still supports regular players who want to finish the Pass early, while also giving everyone more room to enjoy the Season’s content at a natural rhythm.
Here’s what that looks like:
For Diamond Pass players
• By the end of the Week 1: You could reach around Tier 42
• By the end of the Week 2: You could complete the Pass and also start getting some of the additional Season Credits
For players without the Diamond Pass
• By the end of the Week 1: You could reach around Tier 20
• By the end of the Week 2: You could complete the Pass
You’ll still have plenty of time to complete the full Pass, even if you are a casual player or you start late.
What’s Not Changing
This update only affects when XP is earned, not how much is earned.
1. The total XP available remains the same.
2. The number of Regular and Diamond missions remains the same.
3. All rewards remain the same.
4. Daily Mission XP is not changing.
This is not a difficulty increase or reduction in rewards. Instead, the pacing is being adjusted to encourage more consistent progression across the Season.
Thanks for reading, and we appreciate all the feedback that helped guide this change. The updated XP pacing will go live with Season 13 Part 2. As always, we’ll see you out on the racetrack!
